Hyman Scott, MD, MPH

Hyman Scott, MD, MPH, originally from Chicago and graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Biology in 2000.  He attended Yale School of Medicine, graduating in 2006, and completed Internal Medicine Residency at University of California, San Francisco in 2009.  He served as Chief Medical Resident the following year.  Dr. Scott is currently an Infectious Disease fellow and completing the one year Masters in Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology at UC Berkeley.  He is interested in studying HIV health and healthcare disparities and has been exploring these interests through projects at the San Francisco Department of Public Health, one of which has been looking at racial and ethnic differences in the utilization of public health services in San Francisco.  He has also worked on developing a schema for estimating per contact sexual risk of HIV acquisition.
