Technology & Information Exchange Core

“Tying research & community together”

The Technology & Information Exchange (TIE) Core, also known as the Domestic Response Core, applies HIV prevention research to practice and helps integrate community experience into HIV prevention science using the following strategies:


We provide consultations on topics such as these:

  • Creating a website for one’s research project
  • Coming up with a dissemination plan for one’s project
  • Presenting one’s research at community agencies and events
  • Including grant language for dissemination and community involvement
  • Collaborating with community-based agencies
  • Providing technical assistance through the TA Working Group
  • Planning for recruitment
  • Presenting one’s research to the Community Advisory Board
