Erin Bray Gibson, MPH
Project Manager

As a Project Manager, Erin coordinates logistics and program development for the CHATS Study, a female condom promotion/social network intervention project. She has been responsible for coordinating training and day-to-day responsibilities of health educators and recruitment staff, developing project materials, including training/operations manuals, health education program curricula and questionnaires, and leading group and one-on-one sessions with participants, including workshops, focus groups and peer advocate trainings. She has developed and maintains all study databases, and serves as the primary liaison with clinical partners, outside contractors, senior faculty and study participants. In addition, Erin assists on grant proposals, manuscript development, qualitative analysis and project work on other studies, as needed.

Erin has a wide range of interests and work experience. Prior to joining CAPS, Erin worked as a Research Analyst with a clinical economics consulting firm, conducting cost-effectiveness analysis research in the areas of cancer, HIV and kidney disease. Her interest in HIV prevention and treatment education grew while working with a consulting firm that sought to increase communication and build collaborations between the HIV community and the pharmaceutical industry. While working towards her Master’s Degree in Public Health, Erin spent three and a half months working and traveling among various rural clinics and hospitals in Mexico to train physicians and set the groundwork for an intervention to decrease maternal morbidity and mortality from obstetric hemorrhage. Her main interests continue to be focused in the fields of maternal and child health, women’s health (in general), and disease prevention science.
